Art & Algorithm

Image
Do you really think that writers or painters have a pattern in being mused and amusing you? Do you really think that it is practically possible for any writer to wake up in the morning with a new hunch and inject in you a motivational punch? Haa! Maybe you don't. But the influential social media and the urge to be found in a web traffic has made the writers and other artists feel that their art should come out in a pattern that matches the social media algorithm and help them to get found or let's say in the Gen Z fashion, 'trend'...! Beginning from a few years ago till a few week ago, I too have tried to fit in an algorithm. The social media hashtags, you see. Fit in how the keywords works, how the hashtags can be used, what people are liking, what modern influencers are doing. And especially try to see if my posts has reached the algorithm approval or not. Surprisingly, whatever I did, did not work. Was it a surprise? No... It had not been working past four years, wh...

The Right Medicines at the Right Time

Image
From the past few months I have been on a supplement of Amway ‘Nutrilite Mulitcarotene’. Although it is not prescribed by a medical physician to me, I had found that product fitting my need for vision and skin care. The pack suggest of a ‘three times with meal’. And the first time I read it, my mind asked before or after? Since doctors normally suggest for an after meal of most medicines, I have been taking that lately after meals, once a day. I kind of a forget it most of the times, but it is working just fine. My curiosity took me far and I thought what difference it has to take a medical supplement before or after meals. According to Google, “ To reduce side effects of stomach irritation, including indigestion, stomach inflammation or ulcers. ” I am convinced. The point of the argument is, we often think that some achievements or goals are being withheld by the almighty. We think that he is going against our wishes. The whirlpool of hardships is something that no of us are ent...

The Aesthetic Keeda

Image
Three years ago, at a college event, our HOD called me and my classmate to select the names of a few segments. It was for bidding goodbye to our seniors then. To have the fun heightened up, Sir suggested of including a segment where the senior class boys will be asked to flaunt their physique (with clothes on, of course!). We laughed. So, sir asked what a quirky name for it can be. My classmate and I first thought of "Muscle Maniacs". Sir asked for something closer to the idea. So, I suggested " ang pradarshan".  Both of them had big wrinkles and wide disapproval all over their face. Sir repeated the word 'no' at least five to six times, followed by the phrase, "That sounds so sick and cheap". I murmured "It is what it is?" Sir went on going, "Something classier and aesthetic."  Now, come on the senior boys showing off their muscles didn't seem classy to me, rather more wild. They came up with something aesthetic  that had...

A Belief | Self-Help Poem | A Peom Dose, Keeps Happiness Close

A Belief This time I am afraid. I didn't text you, Though I had- A parade of words too. Isn't your fault really. It is a consequence  When I failed to accept- The halts really. The last time, I had given more. Then what was asked for. And apparently: I was underestimated more- Than I could hope for. So fear stays, That you too may leave. Because every ending- Begins with a belief.

December Put a Pat on my Back | Goodbye Poem for 2023 | Stay Motivated | Merry Christmas | A Peom Dose, Keeps Happiness Close

Image
December put a pat on my back. A long quiet hug, And a warm rug. So, I laid down the year's stress. Hold the button- And press, Refresh.  December rubbed its palm on my back Telling me how proud it is- I've turned bigger stones Without turning my back. So, I laid down my head And a story, Everyone has heard, Everyone has said, Hold the button- And press, Refresh.  But do quiet winters too, Smoke beginnings new?  December sat by my side. No conversations, only silence. It knows everything And I've nothing to hide It knows what had happened It knows how I had felt: Kicked below the belt. So, December put a pat on my back.  A warm cup of coffee For the mile in front of me. Asking me,  "Are you not enough smart? Hold the button..." And I pressed, Restart.
