I turned eighteen that year. But long before I was poisoned: "Children's Day is for children; With children, I mean kids. Not you. You are grown. You should pout and snout Your age has weared away. A folklore, in a snap, to say." I found no threshold behind I found no tape to rewind. But when? Where and why? What was wrong- In not being sly? My age is just a number.
