Error 609 Found: Benefit of Misunderstandings

Image
It’s July 2025, and if somebody would have asked me before this day, what am I afraid of- I would take two hours and say, nothing. There is no specific thing that comes to my mind of which I am afraid of. My mother is cool. My sister is sassy. My brother is my second copy (revised edition). Spiders? Well, I accept the fact that I co-exist with them. Crocodiles? By God’s grace I do not have to meet and greet them in human or animal form regularly. Lions? I live with Leos! But today, I realized that I am afraid of misunderstandings. That is a part of our existence that can drive a person to hate you, to be against you, to become an enemy. In my book Kaliyuga On My Curls, I had added a note that Misunderstandings are like Brown-tinted glasses. It can change how you appear to a person. This note was a hard-earned learning of my growing up. All my life, I have been very annoyed at the lazy-witted people for their quick-judgement on me. Or anybody. I do not find it fair whe...

Perception is the Smallest Chunk

Image
My current job profile provides me the scope of exploring many business methods, learning methods and analytical tools. Although my academics had seen long years of commercial application, I had not been accustomed to these tools and learning methods. It’s not so that I had learned any less in my school and college curriculum. Perhaps the academic degree that I got in school is the reason why I am learning these at my professional stage. I have recently come to this learning method called ‘chunking’. Google says that it is “a process by which small individual pieces of a set of information are bound together to create a meaningful whole later on in memory”. It is very useful in retaining information and also in connecting the dots between small pieces of information to find the bigger picture. This insight grew in me a different thoughtfulness. It showed me how my chunk of a small perspective towards my academic and professional learning affects my approach to my current standing of ...

The Who and How a Person is.

Image
New relationships often fill flowers and butterflies in the cup. The lesser you know a person, the more interesting they appear. And once you know them, you know them. But what does it really take to know a person. Because even after spending a lifetime with someone you might feel, you still don’t know them. And sometimes it just sounds a click. The elements which brings a person close to you is ‘who they are’. And that which either keeps them in your life or drifts you two apart is ‘how they are’. And this might sound confusing. But honestly, it’s simpler than you think. The ‘who’ part in a person includes the things that they choose and refuse, their likes and dislikes. The elements that appear on the surface right when you meet them. Your friend is kind, your spouse is generous, they love hearing music, they like rides, she helps poor people, he enjoys socializing. The ‘who’ of a person is what attracts or repels you with them. When you two think that you share a similar vibe, i...

Winning doesn't make you a Demi God

We all know a few people in our world, who always know what somebody meant, and what someone intended.  They are very confident about it. So confident that they often overlook what somebody said and what someone meant. For them, the moment you had said the first five words of a sentence, they had known the entire conversation. Alongwith why you said and how you said things. And in case, they are demi-gods they'll judge your previous actions and predict your future as well.  This confidence is self destructive.  You can be right. But not all the time. And being unable to accept this is self destructive. Now a person can make you feel a 'certain way'. That 'certain way' you felt might not be the 'approached way'. And that's fine. Feelings do not have grammar or parameters. I always believe this. Feelings are not calculative. But then when you unhear the other person and impose your feelings as a judgement, that is self destructive.  How? The other person m...

Fear is but, A Lack of Faith

Image
There is nothing called fear. It's just a lack of faith. A lack of faith on yourself, or on a person. A lack of self confidence. A lacking of belief on the power of your skills. Fear, is just the basic feeling which comes out of the anxiousness of an unseen, unknown future.  You fear when something changes & you don't have the least idea of how are the winds going to sail you. Fear is the reaction when you give in to the uncertainty and uncontrollability of things happening in your life. Fear has no independent existence. It is but a lack of faith on yourself.  When you wish for a definite and exact outcome, but you cannot assure it for yourself, there comes fear. Fear is the but a lack of faith on the existential possibility of your desires. When you conjure up images that are opposite to your dreamland, to your wishing well.  When those contradictory images look more real and probable, we fear.  If you are getting this, you'd understand that there c...

Life stays on Wheels. Not on Brakes

Life stays on wheels. We take a break. You and I take a break from responsibilities and pleasures. Because a continuous of everything becomes a load. Be it a work or merriment.  We all need a break from social protocols to be ourselves. Sometimes we are so spiraled with the wheels of life that taking out times for ourselves feels like stealing. People get hurt. Lovers fail to co-operate. Parents disapprove. Friends fall apart. But it's just a break. Isn't it? You and I just need a break from social spirals. We end up stealing time from our own timeline. And that can happen on your couch or with money on your pouch!! We go to a place. It doesn't have to be beautiful. Lest it suits our vibe, our energy. We enjoy our short trip. But no matter how cool, serene, joyful and happening that trip (or a person) was, we don't stay there. We have to come back to life. Because life stays on wheels, not on brakes. We take a break so we can keep staying on the wheels.
