Deserve Your Desire

So the other day, I was reading this book by Mahatria Ra, The Unposted Letter. It has been mind-cleansing since chapter one. And when I came closer to the last few pages, I read the chapter name- You get what you deserve, not what you desire; and I thought what could be so motivating in that?

Well, truth has ways to find your back when hit on the wall. Has it not? Last few days I had been going crazy. My efforts always seem to climb to a certain point on the arcade and then refuse to move up on the ladder. Success seems so far. So, so far. And then I read this chapter which sounds so demotivating. What if everything that I desire was never meant to be mine? And then the universe tempts you with these prompts just to check how determined you truly are towards what you have been praying for every day.

Who decides what do you truly deserve?
YOU.

How much are you willing to bend your back to keep standing tall through the test of times? In Literature, we call the books 'classics' which succeed in influencing readers through different timelines. Books that stand the test of times. Books which are loved down the centuries. Books that add value to your life no matter from which era or timeline. Every book and author must have aspired such legacy, but do they? Every author desires such classic glory, but only the ones who deserve it; make it.

To deserve what you desire you have to persevere more than you knew you are capable of. One fine morning, you must have realized what you would keep wanting in your life. One fine morning at a sudden gasp, you would know what you cannot live without. Things or people which add meaning and value to your life. That becomes your goal, desire, persuasion. That makes you hop from your bed and work. Work and wait. Work and wait. Work and wait. Keep working, keep waiting. Even when you feel it is invisible. Even when you think, it is too late. Keep working towards that.

If something you have been asking for is so much important, no excuse will ever be enough. No delusion, no disappointments, no despair should curb that will power. You can wish for ten thousand things in a single passing moment in your life. The Universe is not bound to bring all that in your platter. Someone else might be wishing that stronger than you have. When a desire adds existential value to your life, keep walking until the finish line. Struggle with finesse. Frown at failures not at you failing to make things work.

Deserve it when you desire it.
