Delays Demand more Patience

Defeat is not death.
Delay is not denial. 

Gone are the days when a king had to run for his life after losing the battle. Life these days do not rely on one such decisive battles. There are regular such nuances, regular such fights, regular such battles.

A defeat is but a one more chance to redo all that you have done with lesser mistakes and probably more efficiency. When you do not win, it simply suggest a lack of effort, or maybe someone else did that better than you. But that doesn’t take away the chance of another trial. Does it? If you want something strongly enough, you would try that as many times as Time demands. Letting it go is not a choice when your desire is a burning desire. A defeat is rather a chance to reconsider all your assets- your skills, your knowledge, your strategy. Use them full. Sharpen your weapons and commence again from the beginning. Has not video-games made us habituated with this! A life lost is but a matter of fact till the heart revives again and you can begin again.

Begin Again. That’s what life demands. We ask so much. We pray so much. What makes you think that Life will not test you?

Then comes delay. After all the hardships that you have suffered and all the rights choices you have made. You and your desires still do not share the same frame. And a delay can be as long as a hefty day. You just want it to end. You want to see your efforts manifest into reality and bloom brighter. But no, Life offers you a delay without a deadline.

Delays demand patience. When you have waited for something or someone for so long, why not another day? I had read it somewhere, “wait, but do not wait for something. Just wait…” Waiting ‘for’ something makes you restless, it takes away the beauty of finding the right things at the right time. Waiting builds our character more. It makes us more positive, more hopeful and stronger. Makes us a fighter actually. To think this way, when something you have long asked for, the absence of which is curbing your peace of mind, Life is asking you to make yourself a better person to be truly deserving of the person or the thing that you truly want. Just making efforts and manifesting doesn’t make you worthy of it. You should be capable enough of holding that precious one in your life, keeping them safe. Isn’t it?

Delays are but a chance to become stronger. Delays let you grow.

When life offers you a delay, it offers you a final chance of perfecting your masterpiece.

 Do you really think that writers or painters have a pattern in being mused and amusing you? Do you really think that it is practically possible for any writer to wake up in the morning with a new hunch and inject in you a motivational punch? Haa! Maybe you don't. What is so difficult about Trying?

Over the last few days, I have been playing basketball in my courtyard. It is nothing professional. It is just a recreational activity without a cemented court or rules. My mother had planned to tuck a basket at a good enough height at the anterior wall, and now I have been playing basketball, where my premium activity is to basket the ball without anyone snatching it away from my hands.  Let me tell you a secret? It is very tiring. Almost equal to giving up.  Every time I throw the ball above at it, the ball either gets hit on the wall and bounces back (not at me) at the other end of the yard. I would rush to catch it (without success) and run till the end of the fences where the ball had almost nowhere to go. I will take it back and try again and again it would get hit on the wall and push me to rush at some other direction. Tiring stuff.
